As a prize winner in the French Ministry of Research and Technology's first national start-up competition, VigiCell was founded in June 1999 by experts from academia (CNRS, the French National Centre for Scientific Research) and the pharmaceutical services industry in order to exploit and develop the CNRS's fundamental and applied research work in the field of stress genes.
Since its creation, VigiCell has been designing, performing and interpreting predictive toxicology tests for the healthcare and environmental sectors.
VigiCell is a service provider: our R&D themes only concern the tools and biological models we use on our platform, so we never compete with our customers.
Expenditure on work contracted to VigiCell is eligible for France's research tax credit scheme ("CIR").
