PLATFORM
Since 1999, VigiCell has been developing a unique, innovative, toxicology-dedicated platform and related know-how, so that we are able to offer the broadest possible range of testing scenarios and select the most appropriate experimental strategies & resources for achieving a given objective.
High predictive value can only be obtained by adapting the protocol to suit each experimental context. Hence, VigiCell undertakes to:
- reproduce "normal or reasonably foreseeable" operating conditions as closely as possible in the lab.
- look for the first signs of a problem by making observations at the cellular level (in vitro ou in vivo in humans),
- setting out a conclusion which is underpinned by experimental and theoretical arguments.
VigiCell possesses its own fully-equipped laboratory (250 M²) of cellular and molecular biology, complete with professional information access.

Location and access to scientific resources
VigiCell chose to locate in Villejuif (Val de Marne, South-east of Paris). Our laboratory is situated inside the campus of the André Lwoff Institut (CNRS, i.e. National Center for Scientific Research). We hence benefit a high level of scientific environment including a technical base (e.g: flow cytometry, confocal microscopy…) and several teams of researchers (CNRS/ INSERM i.e. National Institute of health and Medical Research), recognized as specialists in human health and biology.
