Human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) represent a promising field of investigation for the biomedicine of the future. The cells' almost unlimited ability to proliferate and give rise to all cell types in the human body has triggered great expectations and could revolutionize regenerative medicine. In the short term, the in vitro use of hESCs may result in better drug screening and predictive toxicology tests.
IngeCELL is a collaborative research project which pools private- and public-sector knowledge, skills and resources in the hESC sector :
IngeCELL The IngeCELL project includes eleven academic research groups from the Paris region. All have acknowledged expertise in the field of stem cells and are starting to study hESCs in collaboration with the Généthon sequencing lab and six biotech SMEs focused on cell culture, cell differentiation and cell applications.
